How to Support the Native Plant Society

SUPPORT THE GARDEN

There are multiple ways to support the important work we do at the Cullman Native Plant Society.

If you would like to donate your time we meet every Tuesday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm to work in the garden year round.

If you would like to become a member of the Cullman Native plant society we will be hosting members meetings on the following dates in 2016:

March 22h, 2016
June 28th, 2016
September 27th, 2016
October 11th, 2016 -this meeting is held at the garden at 5:00pm

All meetings are held at the Cullman Commission of Ageing Building at Sportsman Lake Park at 7:00pm unless otherwise stated.

We hold a plant sale on the first Saturday of April every other year. Our next plant sale will be on April 7th, 2018*.

*We are frequently asked why we do not hold a plant sale every year. The plants at our sales have been subdivided from the garden. Dividing is perfectly harmless to the health and well-being of the plants if given enough time to recover. We do not buy plants from nurseries since many of these plants while 'native' have been cloned and lack necessary genetic biodiversity. By holding the sale every other year we provide the garden time to recover and stay within the mission of the Cullman Native Plant Society to preserve South-Eastern native plant species.
